We have created a new web site for RallyMoto at http://www.rallymoto.co.uk – this will eventually encompass everything we want to do with RallyMoto – The ATRC site will stay here and the bits that are RallyMoto will slowly migrate across.
We will run all the membership sign ups and ACU code requests through the new site and a shop with member only deals.
Moving the Forum will hopefully give us some breathing space form the Hackers that hit the site up to 120 times a day.
This is just to give you some advance warning so you know things are moving across bit by bit.
Sorry to hear you are having problems with hackers and the like.
On my website I have installed a couple of plugins – one blocks bots from using the contact forms and the other automatically detects when somebody has tried to log in more than 5 times with incorrect details and blocks the IP address from making repeated attempts. That one also automatically notifies me of any vulnerabilities in other areas of the site. This is all on wordpress and I am pretty certain that you will be running this site on a different platform – there is likely to be something similar available though.
I hope that moving the site solves the issues but I suspect that the hackers will soon catch up and the new site will be subjected to similar attacks.
I run wordfence, and cleantalk spam protection on my contacts forms. It makes sense that you will be targeted more than my site – being a forum is almost an open invitation for hackers to post links to dodgy websites. My site, while it allows comments on posts, is not a forum so is less attractive to the hackers in that respect. Good luck with it.
