The page is now open for members to be able to register for the Roadbook Caper on the 25th November – this has proved to be very popular so far – so get your name on the list earlier rather than later.
The route is 105 miles long (170Km) comprised as far as possible of Byways, unsurfaced roads and minor country lanes in Hertfordshire plus a few just inside Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire, major roads have been kept to a minimum. There is nothing very technical apart from some mild ruts, a couple of rocky steps on the early lanes and the odd water crossing (bridge alternatives available)! It is generally mud free but I’m sure you’ll find some and as much of the route is on London clay, it can be particularly slippery especially after rain. However the entire route is rideable in all weathers.
