Transanatolia Rally Raid run during the last week of August every year will start in the city of İzmir this year, following Western Taurus mountains to reach the city of Samsun following a different route for the first time.
Transanatolia Rally Raid is considered among the most challenging races of the world and this year, hosted by İzfaş, the race will start at Fuar İzmir and will finish in the city of Samsun after racers complete a track of 2850 kms in seven days.
Transanatolia Rally Raid, one of the most challenging motorsports organization of Turkey, will continue to make its mark in the media this year thanks to the every developing technical infrastructure, organizational skills and the contributions it makes to the motorsports culture.
Running for the seventh time, Transanatolia with great competition among local and international races, will give participants the opportunity to visit regions sunk into oblivion and to enjoy and discover the nature and history.
This year the participants from Italy, France, Portuguese, Spain, Holland, Greece, New Zealand, Argentine, Azerbaijan and Cyprus are expected to race in the rally raid that will be run in motorcycle, 4wd, ATV and Truck categories.
The combat will start in İzmir and the racers will follow the route of Western Taurus mountains, referred to as the alps of Turkey, reaching to the cities of Denizli, Antalya, Konya-Karapınar, Niğde-Aladağ and take the northern track to Cappadocia, Tokat-Gümünek, finishing at the city of Samsun.
The organization will demonstrate the rivalry of pilots that the motorsports world follows closely, while they race in a very challenging track with mud, water and off-road stages and will be closely followed by local and international press.
Transanatolia Rally Raid that will start at KulturPark on Saturday 19 August 2017 with the support of İzfaş, Fuar İzmir, Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, Sportoto, BF Goodrich, Hytera, KTM, Globe Scout, Red Bull, shall be completed on Sunday 26 August 2017 at Samsun Avenue.
