The summertime roadbook challenge returns for 2026!

Available on the RallyMoto app, this three month long navigational challenge includes eight routes to ride around the UK. Ride four routes to complete the challenge, or ride all eight to achieve a ‘Dust Devil’ award.

Dates: 1st June – 31st August 2026

ENTRY FEE: EARLY BIRD £99.00 before 1st July

Normal Entry Fee: £120 after 1st July

Digital roadbook routes will be around 150 – 160km and available on the digital app:

Route 1: Greenham Common
Route 2: Essex
Route 3: Somerset
Route 4: Lakes & Lancs
Route 5: North Yorkshire
Route 6: Mid Wales
Route 7: Cotswolds
Route 8: Salisbury

All roadbooks are graded as EASY to comprehend.

Remember: You must be a Full RallyMoto member to enter the events.

The Challenge is on!

You are to ride 4 roadbook routes out of 8 from around the UK.
Completing three routes correctly means you will qualify for the Blazing Saddles Mission Accomplished T-shirt.
Complete all of the routes and qualify for the “Dust Devil” hoodie.
You will need to be a RallyMoto member to take part in the Blazing Saddles Challenge.
YOU choose what route you ride, when you ride and who you ride with.
Each route will have it’s own online leaderboard.
Overall leaderboard updated weekly.
Results scored on a ‘Zero Hero’ basis. Ride as accurately as possible to score the fewest penalty points!

Some frequent questions answered …

What type of bike can I use for the Blazing Saddles Challenge?

On our RallyMoto Challenge events we do not restrict the type of bike you can use. Routes are graded and created to be Big Bike friendly – but you can ride any bike you want to.

Do I need my own roadbook holder?

No. All you need is a suitable phone or tablet. More info here: https://rallymoto.co.uk/digital-app-specification/

What if I breakdown?

Due to the nature of this event – you are on your own. It maybe good to ride in a small group or in pairs.

Will I need off-road tyres?

We have made suggestions as to the route and terrain. We would recommend a tyre with some off-road capability – like a dual sport tyre or a full off-road tyre.
