2 Day Adventure Rally through Welsh Forestry
After a hugely successful event in 2025, we are pleased to be returning to the stunning Cambrian mountains for another edition of the Zero Hero Challenge.
The ZERO HERO Challenge is a 100% digital Adventure Rally event, and run under strict ZERO HERO rules, so the more penalty points you have the further you slide down the leaderboard.
All speeds in the Forestry will be restricted – this is NOT A SPEED event.
Get ready for an epic two days of roadbook navigation through the most remote and beautiful parts of Wales.
With a high percentage of off-road and trail riding, which is 100% suited to the “big” adventure bikes, you will be able to ride in areas of Wales which are only made available for this event.
It is a remote area and just what your adventure bike was made for.
The event is a two day roadbook ZERO HERO Adventure Rally. The roadbook is has been especially created for the event and is the same format and style as the “Adventure Rally Raids”.
Riders will be expected to navigate the course using the roadbook which will be available digital format only.
Each day comprises of a course which is in excess of 250km with a large percentage of the going being hard base gravel tracks and fire roads within the Welsh forests.
A level of self sufficiency is required as this is a remote part of the UK. Riders will be expected to carry tools and spares along with water and food for the day. There will be places for fuel and food marked on the roadbook for fuel and refreshments.

ACCOMMODATION – IF YOU DON’T FANCY CAMPING!
Camping will have to be paid as an additional item on the entry form. There is additional accommodation in the nearby town of Llandovery.
FOOD
Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday can be ordered if required on the entry form.
A meal on the Saturday evening and additional places can be ordered on the entry form.
Once out on the course riders will have to be self sufficient and should carry water and food. There will be a few opportunities to buy food en-route.
HOW TO ENTER
- Once entries are open, follow the entry form link and complete your entry.
- Once you have filled out the form and paid, your place has been secured for the event.
- PLEASE BE PATIENT in the lead up to the event. Your final instructions will be sent out via an email in the week leading up to the event. These will give you the final details including total distances, timings, app download instructions etc etc.
how the scoring works
One Class, One Roadbook, ZERO HERO scoring.
- All waypoints must be hit. Missing waypoints = 3 penalty points per missed WP
- Speed zones must be adhered to. Incremental penalty system for overspeeding.
Overspeeding in speed zones = penalty points. - Massive PNZ zone – almost the whole course – so navigation is key on this event.
- Breaking the capped top speed throughout the event = penalty points and potential disqualification.
Bikes and Tyres
This event has been specifically designed for the bigger adventure bikes and the Zero Hero Challenge course has been created with this in mind.
The course 100% suitable for dual sport tyres. The organisation team will have ridden all the course prior to the event to check its suitability.

If you sign a disclaimer stating you will abide by the rules of the event then entries from Enduro bikes will be allowed – Note this is a speed limited event and over speed riders will be removed from the course.
Fuel and Range
The challenge is set in a remote part of the UK and the bikes taking part will need a range of 160km (100 miles) on a single tank of fuel. Most of the big adventure bikes are capable of this. All fuel stops will be at commercial filling stations and marked on the roadbook.
Digital Roadbooks ONLY
This event is a digital roadbook only, you will need to ensure you have a suitable device mounted to your bars (Android tablet or large phone). For more info click here.
