We love talking about the weather in this country, and the spectacular conditions over the weekend were definitely a hot topic at the 2022 edition of the Adventure Spec Kielder 500 Adventure Rally.
Having two days of incredible sunshine and not a drop of rain was a far cry from the usual experience we are accustomed to in this part of the world. The long trails of dust lingering behind the riders, coupled with the mind blowing amount of devastation on display from a series of storms earlier in the year which caused millions of trees to uproot themselves, made for some interesting visuals.
With a glowing welcome from Forestry England and warm feedback from locals in the area, we can only thank our members for representing Adventure Rallying in the UK. Now more than ever we must protect our ability to ride in these incredible areas, and the Kielder Forest is possibly the very best out there, so thanks to those who kept to the speed limit and went away having earnt a Zero Hero award.
