AS Wales 500 2023 - RallyMoto

“I’ve never seen so many motorbike riders standing outside in the rain looking so happy!”

The quote of the weekend goes to the lovely attendant in the service station in Ponterwydd, observing the large group of soggy riders on what was likely their 4th visit there that weekend.

Yes, the heavens opened on Sunday, and after an especially long day on the bikes on the Saturday, the 180 odd riders were no doubt feeling it that second day! Even so, the atmosphere throughout the weekend, as well as the feedback after the event, was super positive.

Another Full House!

It was the second fully subscribed 500 event this year, after a full house in Kielder in March, and we welcomed nearly 200 members into Llandovery that weekend from all across the UK and much further afield.

We were delighted to have Sebastian over from Germany for the second time this year, and to welcome so many newcomers to the club. It was a mega event for first timers, but the support from the team of ambassadors and fellow members ensured they were well supported throughout the weekend.

Our Special Greek Guest

This event wasn’t only about the Wales 500, as on Saturday evening we had presentations from some very special guests about rallies across the pond. Meletis Stamatis gave an in depth presentation on next year’s Hellas Rally in Greece, at which we will be offering support packages for RallyMoto members. Presenting Portugal

We were also excited to launch the 2024 Tour of Portugal Adventure Rally, with the help of our partner from Portugal Offroad, Rui Matias. You can find out more about this event here, and register your interest so you don’t miss out on one of our all time favourite events. For those interested in entering Hellas, but have never rallied abroad before, then the Tour of Portugal is a great stepping stone to see what it’s all about.

Another Wales 500 in the bag!

Congratulations to everyone who took part in the 2023 AS Wales 500. It was a big one for sure, but as always the fantastic energy and supportive atmosphere amongst the members is what really makes it a joy to be a part of.

A massive thankyou to the ambassador team for all your help and hard work, to Llandovery rugby club and campsite for being wonderful hosts, to the team behind the scenes, to all the visitors from abroad and most of all to all of the members of RallyMoto for supporting Adventure Rallying in the UK and allowing us to do what we do!
