Now with more options for riders and roadbooks!

The Big One, the great northern adventure rally camp, is shaping up to be one epic event which now really does cover all bases for adventure riding and rally enthusiasts.

MORE ROADBOOK OPTIONS

PAPER ROADBOOKS

This had originally been set up as a 100% digital roadbook event, however we appreciate that many of you have invested time and money into your paper roadbook set ups, so we’ve decided to offer the analoge options for those who prefer it.

The ‘tupperware’ paper hire units will also be available.

GPS Trackers will be fitted to the bikes for safety and waypoint verification, so please make sure you have a tracker cable fitted to your bike to power the unit.

Tracker cables can be purchased here.

Fitting instructions can be found here.

DIGITAL HIRE UNITS

There will now be a limited number of digital hire units available for the event.  Please book your hire unit via your entry form.  Please also provide your own ball mount and arm for your handlebars as we have a limited supply of these.  You can purchase these via Ram Mounts UK using our members 10% discount code found here.

You will also need to fit a GPS tracker to your bike (info above).

GUIDED RIDES THROUGH FORESTRY

NO NEED TO NAVIGATE!

We realise this event is a celebration of Adventure Rallying and roadbook navigation however, Kielder Forest is too good not to share, and with over 1000kms of routes being made available especially for this event, we thought we’d give non-navigators a chance to experience it!

Each day, RallyMoto ambassadors will guide small groups (15 max) along the same roadbook routes.  The guides will themselves be following the roadbook, so even if you’re not keen to navigate yourself, you can still get a taste of what the routes are like on our regular Adventure Rallies.  Plus you get to enjoy the wide open expanse of Kielder Forest and all the wonderful trails within!

SPECIAL GUEST ANNOUNCEMENTS

DESERT ROSE RACING

Led by the infamous Patsy Quick, Desert Rose Racing is one of the leading british rally support businesses in the UK.  Offering rally support, bike preparation, roadbooking bootcamps and off-road rider training, they’re the one stop shop for all things rally!

MEDICAL PLANNING FOR REMOTE RIDERS

Do you carry the necessary kit to get yourself out of trouble? Do you have an emergency plan for sticky situations?
To fully enjoy adventure riding and rallying to its full potential, preparation is key. That’s why we’re very pleased to have Damian Rawcliffe, our very own extreme sports rally medic, joining us at The Big One in September, not only to provide a medical response team for us all out on the trails, but to host a workshop on ‘Medical Planning for Remote Riders’.
Damo is not only a skilled Associate Ambulance Practitioner, but is also keen adventure rider, a lively and lovable personality and a wonderful asset to team RallyMoto.

ADVENTURE SPEC

It wouldn’t be an Adventure Rally event without a guest appearance from our long term partners at Adventure Spec!
Greg Villalobos has been flying the Adventure Spec flag with passion since 2016, advocating for their slogan ‘light is right’ and continuing to develop comfortable, high quality, lightweight adventure gear for the adventure bike market.  Greg will take to the stage on the Friday evening and the team from Adventure Spec will be present throughout the event to enjoy the trails, host some fun competitions and chat gear!

PORTUGAL OFFROAD

Rui’s company ‘Portugal Offroad’ is one of RallyMoto’s most long term partners since they first connected over roadbook navigation at the UK’s ‘Dirt Bike Show’ over 12 years ago.
Rui is passionate about roadbook rallying and provides roadbook training and tours in his homeland in Portugal.  The ‘Tour of Portugal’ adventure rally is an increasingly popular joint venture between Portugal Offroad and RallyMoto and is quickly becoming one of the go-to events to introduce RallyMoto members to international rallying.

Robbie wallace – mission dakar

Robbie is one of the UK’s most exciting new names on the international rally stage. In February he boldly announced his intentions to ride, race and finish what is possibly the hardest and most gruelling rally on earth…
THE DAKAR RALLY.
Robbie Recently finished in 15th place overall at the RUTA 40 rally in Argentina, securing him a place in the Dakar Rally 2025.
We can’t wait to hear his stories as he tells us all about his journey to Dakar on Saturday evening at The Big One!

Oliver Crowie – Wrenchride

Olly Crowie, the mastermind behind Wrenchride is a passionate builder of rally and adventure bikes, rally mechanic, and official uk dealer and builder for multiple suppliers and rally kit producers.

REBEL TYRES

Tyre talk…. It’s a lengthy subject. Thankfully we can leave that to the professionals as we are very pleased to be joined by Rebel Tyres at The Big One in September! They will have a number of different tyres on display for the range of bikes and riding styles at the event and will be available to offer advice on tyre choice to best suit riders needs. And in the case of a tyre emergency, Rebel Tyres will be there to help!

This event is growing day by day and we are very excited to be bringing it all together in one fantastic venue, with fantastic riding and a good old social!  You don’t have to be a member to take part in The Big One so bring your mates and show them what all the fuss is about!

There are limited tickets still available here.
