On a rainy Sunday in February we had the great pleasure of welcoming a new group of riders to the club and introducing them to the joys of roadbook navigation.
The Discovery Rally Cotswolds was a 100% tarmac, one day event, complete with a ‘classroom’ style roadbook training session in the morning and a 100km course along the best riding roads in the Cotswolds.
The course was navigated using the RallyMoto digital roadbook app, and results were provided to the riders at the end of the day based on accuracy of navigation. Their skills were tested with 20 waypoints to hit, multiple speed zones to adhere to plus some ‘Precise Navigation Zones’ (PNZs) thrown in there for an extra challenge.
