So in my ongoing mission to make some room in my garage, I’ve decided to sell my WR450.
It’s a 2006 model (steel frame) on an 07 plate. All the usual mods have been done – the wire snip to increase power, some sort of air box mod, and removal of the exhaust baffles. However I thought the bike was offensively loud for tail riding so I made a new baffle for the exhaust, which could be easily removed if required.
Fully road legal, apart from the slightly small flexible number plate.
It’s also got a TrailTech speedo, Renthal fat bars and some sort of blingy bar clamp. Forks were serviced last year (by me) with new seals. Brake pads and tyres are good with plenty of life left in them. Front tyre has a mousse in it, rear has a tube. Also included are some spare plastics (front and rear mudguards), a couple of rear sprockets, a legal plate and some spare oil filters.
Bad points: The paint has worn off the frame and engine cases. The starter motor is weak (I believe this is a common problem with this model) – it works ok when the engine is warm though. I usually kick it from cold and then when it’s warmed up the button works ok. It needs a new battery and has no MOT, but if it sells for the asking price I’ll include both of these things in the sale.
Test ride on private land (due to no MOT or tax) could be arranged.
Asking price £2,200, located near Stockport UK. Email me email@example.com if you’re interested.
