I see there’s only 5 rounds this year.
But are all 5 counting, or best 4 out of 5??08/02/2018 at 10:52 am #73118
Good point Rob, I can’t see all rounds counting as this could handicap anyone doing the Tour of Portugal as Brechfa is only three weeks beforehand: you might not have long to prep your bike before delivering it for the transport.
Last year it was 4 out of 6 wasn’t it? So this could be tricky, 4 out of 5 or 3 out of 5 perhaps????

Be good to know?11/02/2018 at 11:39 am #73175
From the ATRC 2018 Calander :
‘We are looking at having 5 rounds for the ATRC in 2018. All five rounds are included in the scoring towards points’
Looks like no Hafren, which is a pity, really good event last year.11/02/2018 at 5:47 pm #73177
yup, i can’t do Brechfa. So could be season over before it started.
Last year only about 15 riders did more than 4 events.
It has to be 3 out of 5 ??19/03/2018 at 12:50 pm #73505
I’m assuming as the second day of the Brechfa was cancelled yesterday, Saturday’s results will count for the overall result but should those who entered only receive half points for the Championships as it was half a rally?

Difficult one Tony – we did include Hafren and that was full points from a one day rally.
My feeling is to let it count for full points but change the number of rounds to count to 4 (not 5)

Burt I am not on there! I have paid up and have a membership card for 2018, same for my mate Bryn Long.
Thanks Lee.19/03/2018 at 11:48 pm #73511
Hi, here’s my opinion…..
Before the first championship round the rules were set and 5 rounds out of 5 are to count, hence I entered the Brechfa, taking a big risk as I am booked in for Portugal. This has given me 4 days to prep the bike for Portugal and get it to Patsy. If I could have dropped the round then I would have. It would be unfair to change the rules now after the rules were set and everyone knew that 5 of 5 are to count. If a change were to be made then it should have been before the Brechfa entries opened, giving each rider the option to enter or not. I fully understand that not everyone will agree but the Brechfa was open to everyone and I for one felt that I was forced to enter. As for half the points then that would be nonsense. Every other bike event that I have ever entered over the last 35 years gives the full and final result and points based on the result at the end of the event whether it went until the planned conclusion or not. ( motocross being cancelled after the practice session may be the only exception ). As I say, the Brechfa was open to everyone and for those that braved the snowy conditions they need to be rewarded accordingly. Dropping rounds and points now would be un-sporting.20/03/2018 at 12:20 pm #73512
I agree, i did type that with my tongue in my cheek!

When will the ATRC points be published? I know that the Brechfa results are on the DDBC web site, but this obviously includes people who won’t be doing the complete series.21/03/2018 at 7:48 am #73515
Full points for breaches and all rounds count. It took me 6 hours to get home from breaches an I now have 4 days to prep 2 bikes for Portugal. You can’t pick and choose.21/03/2018 at 5:35 pm #73526
We are working on the results now – or Tony Whitehead is – it takes him a bit of time to sort things out for the ATRC.
I ear what you are saying for the rounds – I will also discuss with Tony.
