ICE BREAKER CHALLENGE 2024

1 JAN 2024 – 1 April 2024

EVENT CLOSED 1st April 2024

Smell the Sea Air!

The one and only winter time digitial roadbooking challenge returns in 2024, this time taking you from coast to coast, and back again!

The popular Coast to Coast challenge of 2020 has been adapted into 4 separate routes, taking you from Lancaster to Scarborough and back again, with a stop in the middle, giving participants the opportunity to get 4 routes done in one, or two, hits.

There will be another 5 routes available throughout the country to ride, making a total of 9 routes available for the 2024 Ice Breaker Challenge!

Available on the RallyMoto Digital Roadbook app, you can roadbook all winter long with minimal kit, minimal fuss, and maximum enjoyment!

Why digital?
Easier to update roadbooks.
– Results are automatically generated instantly, based on hitting several hidden waypoints to hit along the course as well as adherance to speed zone limits.
– With a digital roadbook we can offer you all 9 routes to ride and an “Iceman Yeti” Award

The Challenge is on!
You are to ride 3 roadbook routes out of 9 from around the UK and keep riding through winter. Completing three routes correctly means you will qualify for the Ice Breaker Award but if you want to you can ride 7  out of the 9 routes and qualify for the “Ice Man Yeti” award.

Riders who complete the Coast to Coast to Coast segment (all four roadbooks) will receive a special ‘C2C2C’ award.

You will need to be a RallyMoto member to take part in the Ice breaker Challenge.

YOU choose what route you ride, when you ride and who you ride with.

Some frequent questions answered …

What type of bike can I use for the Ice Breaker Challenge?

On our RallyMoto Challenge events we do not restrict the type of bike you can use. Routes are graded and created to be Big Bike friendly – but you can ride any bike you want to.

Do I need my own roadbook holder?

No. All you need is a suitable phone or tablet. More info here: https://rallymoto.co.uk/digital-app-specification/

What if I breakdown?

Due to the nature of this event – you are on your own. It maybe good to ride in a small group or in pairs.

Will I need off-road tyres?

We have made suggestions as to the route and terrain. We would recommend a tyre with some off-road capability – like a dual sport tyre or a full off-road tyre.

Can I ride with my mates?

Yes, the Ice Breaker Challenge can be a solo or a group effort with participants riding together.
