It was a beautiful sunday in the Cotswolds for an easy going, beginner friendly Adventure Rally Raid.

This event was slightly different to usual however, as it was the ARR which digital only, and which showcased the new RallyMoto Digital Hire Units.  The riders were almost all new faces, and almost all completely new to roadbooking.  Being able to use a digital roadbook, all set up and ready to go, complete with a thumb controller, made their introduction to roadbook navigation as easy as it could be!

The route was a relatively short, 120 km loop around the Cotswolds, with simple navigation to get riders into the flow of things and to boost their confidence.  We set up the event as a ‘mock’ Adventure Rally, which meant that their scores were extracted from the tracking system and penalties issued for missed waypoints and speeding in speed zones.

It’s always fun to have couples take part together, with two couples traveling two-up for the event.  All in all it was a great day with lots of happy riders and positive feedback!

The next time we’ll be providing the digital hire units will be at the ABR Festival later this month, so book yourself a slot or at least come and say hello if you’re there.
