It was an exciting day when we received the news from Natural Recourses Wales that they were to allow us to run an event in Welsh Forestry.
This was in early October of 2025, and the dates for the proposed event were 8th and 9th of November, the very next month.
Team RallyMoto sprung into action, filing paperwork, writing routes, and announcing to our members what we planned to do, but most importantly, what we needed to do to secure our chances of running any more events there in the future. We needed to abide by the rules, to not speed, and to be absolutely respectful of the locals in both the countryside and the villages.
Once we had the approvals and permissions in place we just needed entrants for the new style event. A two day Adventure Rally through some of the most remote parts of Wales with onsite camping as the accommodation, in November, could it be done?
Well, we are beyond pleased to say it did happen with great success. Over 80 riders stepped up to the Zero Hero Challenge and took part in what ended up being a fantastic event with partly sunny conditions, stunning autumn colours, epic riding, and great camaraderie.
The locals were so happy we even received several messages and emails of appreciation for how respectful the riders were when passing through.
The whole event happened with less than a month’s notice, and we can thank the members of RallyMoto for their support in making this happen, and doing their part to help us secure future events in this beautiful part of the UK.
The goal was to navigate perfectly, keep within the speed zones and achieve zero penalty points, which only two riders did!
Congratulations to DOUGLAS BOWKETT on his CFMOTO 450, and SHAUN WARD on a KTM 690.
We will be applying to NRW for dates in 2026 so stay tuned!
